In my family, ear-piercing for girls was almost a rite of passage during early childhood. I received my first pair of earrings when I was just one year old. However, it was when I acquired a silver necklace adorned with an initial pendant that I truly grasped the transformative power of jewelry – the ability to imbue one's style with uniqueness and personal flair. It was this pendant, a delicate letter "K" embellished with a petite diamond, that holds a cherished place in my heart. Yet, it would take several years for me to recognize my love for crafting accessories.

Drawing, designing, and creating have long been passions of mine, but the prospect of becoming a designer never seemed to feature in my future plans. Little did I anticipate that my childhood companion, a teddy bear named Misha, would pave the way for my journey.

Misha, a plush teddy bear, has been a constant presence since I was around 12 years old, standing witness to a plethora of both joyous and somber moments. A realization dawned upon me that eventually, Misha's fluffiness would fade, and he would cease to be the teddy bear I knew. A desire grew within me to preserve his memory in a tangible way. Thus, the concept of fashioning a lasting gold pendant in Misha's likeness was born, marking the inception of K by Krystyna.
